The nearest railhead to reach daman is Vapi you can take any train towards ahmedabad if you r coming by air the nearest airport is Mumbai from mumbai you can either come by road through N.N.No.8 or take train towards Ahmedabad. If you have any queries do get back to me.

hi,

From bangalore, come to mumbai and from there you can catch a train to vapi-the nearest railway head to daman-from vapi catch a cab or auto to daman. You can also hire a cab from mumbai to daman, its only three and half hours drive from mumbai.

Days are generally warm in Daman but Nights remain pleasant. As it is close to the Arabian Sea so it makes the temperature mild. The climate remains ideal for swimming along the crest and fall of the waves.

hi,

You can take a flight to mumbai, from there board a train to vapi and then proceed to daman by a taxi. You can also hire a taxi to daman from mumbai itself.

Daman is only 12km from vapi, the nearest railway head.

Hi Parienda,

There is a ferry service from Vanakbara to Kotla village, from where one can get buses to Kodinar. But there is no ferry service available from Daman to Diu. Tthere are some Govt. buses running from Vapi which is 12Kms away from Daman. They leave at 6:00in the evening & they charge Rs600/- & There is also a direct bus of Gujarat state ST from Daman to Diu, which leaves Daman by 6.00 pm.

Mirasol Waterpark and Lake is located at Mirasol at 4 kms from Devka Beach ( Daman) and 500 meters from the nearest beach.You have made avery good choice. it is a perfect hotel to enjoy.

For reaching Daman from Mumbai you can board a train to vapi or you can hire a cab to reach daman. It will hardly take 4hrs to reach by road.

Daman is 165kms from Mumbai. With the opening up of the six lane Borivali manor stretch, on the Western Express highway, driving from Mumbai to Daman is sheer pleasure. From mumbai you can board a train to vapi and from there you can hire a cab or auto or even bus to daman which is only 12 km from there. Another option is you can hire a cab from mumbai itself to daman which is 3 to 4 hrs drive from mumbai. You can also get buses from mumbai to surat or ahmedabad,which stops at vapi.

daman and diu are little far they not close daman is close to mumbai in south gujarat and diu is close to somnath temple in suarastra

the distance is more then 600kms by road . the places to see in diu are DIU FORT,DIU MUSEUM, ST PAULS CHURCH MAKATA LANE,JALANDHAAR BEACH,NAGOA BEACH,CHAKRATIRTH BEACH, GHOGLALA BEACH,AHMEDPUR MANDVI ETC... somnath temple is 80 kms from diu.........

There are lots of good hotels which Kiomoi people would beyo able to tell u. infact in the heart of daman, there is Hotel marina. You would be bowled over by its interiors-antique furniture,even the rooms...and all come very reasonable.

the cheap and best way to reach daman from mumbai would be to board a train to vapi,and then proceed to daman in a shared taxi or auto.
there are mainly two areas which you shouldnt miss in daman-nani daman and moti daman.
nani daman has a fort facing jetty and church inside.
bom jesus church,paragola garden,nobel pile of historic ruins,fort are the important places in moti daman.daman has mainly 2 beaches-devka and jampore

From pune to daman its around 350 km.the route is pune-lonavala-thane-vapi-daman. From pune you take the express highway to mumbai, take a right turn at thane and take mumbai-ahmedabad highway. take the highway till vapi and take a left from highway for vapi and from vapi again take the road to left for daman.

hi,

The best way to reach to daman is to take a train from mumbai central or bandra terminus to surat, baroda, delhi[western railways], ahmedabad and get down at vapi, which is the nearest railway station. You can take a taxi or auto to daman from vapi which is 12km from there. You also get gujarat state transport buses which are operating between vapi and daman daily.

You can also drive down frm mumbai to daman by taking national highway to ahmedabad and and take a left turn from vapi heading towards daman from the highway. Buses from mumbai to ahmedabad and saurashtra also pass through vapi.

The major tourist spots are devka beach, jampore beach, fort moti daman, fort nani daman, bom jesus church, paragola garden, kadiaya lake garden etc.

To reach daman take a train to vapi. almost evry half an hour or very frequently u get express and passenger trains from mumbai central central and bandra terminus to surat, baroda, ahmedabad, delhi[western railways], which stop at vapi. From vapi you can hire a cab or auto to daman which is only 12kms away.

The major places to visit are Jampore beach, devka beach, fort moti daman-u'll suddenly feel like taken bak to portuguese era, you can also visit bom jesus church, pargola garden inside tha fort.fort nani daman is comparatively a smaller one, yo u can also visit our lady of sea church inside the fort .dont foregt to taste the mouthwatering jetty rolls from nani daman jetty. You also have a man made garden kadiay lake garden here. Take a mid night walk around the theen batti area and u'll never forget the taste of official desert of daman- kulfi and faluda!

from dadar,take nh 8-mumbai ahmedabad highway.its around 191km.once you reach vapi,take side road and take a turn to left to go to daman.anothr 15km in this route will take you to daman airport road.

Dear Vivek There are no direct trains to Daman. The nearest railway station is Vapi and you can catch a taxi or autorikshaw to Daman which is only 12 km frm there. Vapi is one of the main railway link between Delhi[western railways] and Mumbai. Nearest railway head is Valsad which is 35km from there. We have 2 airports-Surat Airport and Chatrapati Shivaji Airport of Mumbai. you get daily flights to both these airports. Surat is 100km from daman and Mumbai is 193km. You can catch a train to Vapi and reach here. From Surat u can also take a bus or taxi too other than train. Going to hyderabad or Bangalore, u can catch a direct flight to Hyderabad from Surat airport or Mumbai airport, and from there u can catch flight or train to bangalore too. By train, u wont get direct train all the time, the best option would be to catch a train to Mumbai and from there u can board train to Hyderabad and proceed accordingly.. regards nadeera

daman is the place where you can find beer and wine parlours in abundance than restaurants.there are 2 govt[oidc]approved shopd-one is behind daman bus stand and the other one is before hotel shilton.other wise also ber and wine is served in evry hotel in daman,but most of them are bottled locally.so always go for those bottled outside daman.

As such through friends and collegue (who are working there) came too know Daman is worst place to visit. Too dirty near the sea shore and all the sewerage and factory outlet are there near the beach. It stings near the beach. Even it is not save especially during the night i.e. after 9:00 pm. Regularly there is quarrel at night and too costly. Only there is avaialble is cheap whisky and bear. Family personnel cannot visit and roam freely near the sea shore as all drunken are lottering since morning and evening too risky. Road are in the work condition. Vivek Patel

Hello! Daman consists of three beaches and these beaches are famous for sunbathers, swimmers, beachcombers etc. Devka beach is 3 km from Nani Daman. Devka is a rocky beach with blackish sand. The Fisherman's beach is at Sea face road in Nani Daman. Jampore is yet another beach situated 4 km from Moti Daman. Devka offers few entertainments besides beach walking.
