You can drive from Haridwar - Roorkee - Saharanpur - Ambala - Chandigarh.
You can also go to Haridwar - Dehradun - Paonta Sahib - Nahan - Chandigarh.

Thanks for your query in Kiomoi, There are Shatabdi and Jan Shatabdi Trains which runs on morning 6. 50 and afternoon 3.25 respectively from New Delhi. They take about 5 hours to Haridwar. There is one fast Train from Nijamuddin Rly stn around 12 mid night which reach ealry 5 am at Haridwar also. One has to do reservations for that in advance. Charges depends on the class of travel from INR 107 to 995/-
Haridwar to Dehradun takes approx. one and half hour by bus. There are few trains also which you can check out as per your timings.

Thanks for your query in Kiomoi, They can go to Rishikesh Directly from Hur Ki Pauri, If they take "Vikram" ( A kind of Auto ) from Main road on highway side of it or catch a Govt. Roadways bus. It is only 25 kms and take Approx. 40 Minutes.

Following are the Major Attractions in Haridwar:- 1. Har ki Paudi:- Har ki Paudi means Steps (Paudi) of Shiva (Hari). The ghat is said to have a large footprint, supposed to be that of Vishnu. Legends have it that Brahma had performed a Yagna (Prayers) at the banks of Ganga, on Har ki Paudi. 2. Chandi Devi:- The temple of Chandi Devi is set atop the Neel Parvat. The temple is a 3 km trek from Chandi Ghat. Chandi Devi Tetple is also accessible by a ropeway, which starts near Gauri Shankar Temple. 3. Maya Devi Temple:- The temple is said to be at the site of the place where heart and navel of Sati fell. The temple is amongst one of the Shaktipeeths in India. 4. Mansa Devi Temple:- The temple on the top of Bilwa Parvat is dedicated to the Goddess Mansa Devi. Here, one statue of the Goddess has three mouths and five arms while the other statue has eight arms. The rope way carriage operates between Upper road, near the station and Mansa Devi Temple. As you have not mentioned from where you will be coming from so i have mentioned the details from different places:- By Air:- Haridwar is 35 Km from Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, where you can get taxis and buses for Haridwar.
