The temple of Sri Venkateswara or Lakshmivenkatesvara is located at the centre of the Mantralaya complex. The black stone idol of Sri Venkateswara, was believed to have been installed and worshipped by Sri Raghavendra himself. Timing of the temple are 6 am-12 pm & 4.30 – 8 pm.

The nearest railway station are Mantralayam Road (MALM), Adoni (AD) and Raichur( RA). The Mantralayam Road is 5kms away from Mantralayam. From Mantralyam road you can reach Mantralaya by shared autorickshaws, private taxis, Commander Jeeps or buses.

Hotel Guru International is conveniently located on the main Mantralyam Road opposite the road Transport corporation bus stand. It is around 16 kilometers from the Mantralyam Road railway station. Pankaja Paradise is located in the heart of Mantralyam on the main Mantralya road. You can get here non-AC accommodation plus all other basic amenities. The temple or the Guru Raghavendra Swamy Mutt is around 15 kms from the Mutt. Once finished with the Darshan of the Mutt,  you can visit the nearby attractions like Panchmukhi Anjaneya Swamy Temple( 20 Km), Bhikshalaya( 20 km in the Raichur Distt of Karnataka. These two places are associated with the memory of the great Swamy.

You can reach Mantralayam by road or by train from Hyderabad. There is a train no 7429 Rayalseema exp from Hyderabad deccan that takes around 6 hours. If you travel by road then you can book cabs the distance is 256 km. Buses of APSRTC are available from Hyderabad please check with M G bus Station also APTDC conducts a package tour of Mantralayam you can get in touch with their Hyderabad office. You haven't mentioned in your query, that from where you would come from Anyway Mantralayam Road falls on the Mumbai-Chennai, Mumbai-Bangalore, Delhi-Bangalore train routes. The Temple is around 16 km from the Railway station. At Mantralayam Besides the Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy Mutt there is not much to see around. Around Mantralayam you can visit Pancmukhi Anjaneya Temple, Bhikshalaya, NavaBrindavana(near Hampi), Adoni, Srisailam( ofcourse a bit far, around 260-270 km). For the first 2 places you get autos and shared Jeeps. Hotels near Mutt include Pankaja paradise, Guru international, Panchamukhi lodge et al. Hotel Pankaja Paradise is next to the Brindhavana entrance, very close(Walking distance) to the bus stand. A day in Mantralayam can start with a bath in the Tungabhadra river, do not forget to see the Siva lingam amid the river. After that  enter Mutt premises.  An early morning visit to the Brindavana of Guru Raghavendra, means you can meditate and then perform Seva there. Attractions within the temple precincts include, Manchalmma Temple, Sri Venkateswara Temple, Sri Moola Rama  Devaru,  Anjaneya temple. In the noon you can have lunch there. After that set out to explore nearby places.  Visit Panchmukhi Anjaneya around 5km a famous temple with memories of Guru Rajaru and Bikshalaya a place associated with Sri Appanachara , the great disciple of Raghavendra swamy.

Mantralayam is a place that is replete with the memories of the great saint Sri Raghavendra Swami. His Samadhi lies here. Though Raghavendra Swami belonged to Madhwa sect but his appeal transcends beyond sect and religion.

People thronng Mantralayam in great numbers to pay devotion and seek blessings from this sent. The temple and the Mutt lies at the bank of riverTungabhandra and the Railway station Mantralayam Road is around 16 km. It is connected to all the major places by rail. There are also some nearby places associated with the memory of Guru Rajaru as Sri Raghavendra Swamyis fondly called. One must visit.

There are buses, Taxis & Autos available for sightseeing in Mantralayam. It is always better to hire a taxi for covering places of interest in Mantralayam. You can also book your taxi in advance from Kiomoi.

The best way to reach Mantralayam from Hyderabad is to take the 7429 Rayalseema Exp. It starts from Hyderabad Deccan Station at 17.25 hrs. It reaches Mantralayam Road station somewhere in midnight.

By road the distance is 256 km for buses you can check at the M G Bus Station for timings of the APSRTC Buses. There is also a conducted tour offered by the APTDC for which you could get in touch with their office. For taxi bookings you can get in touch with support@kiomoi.com or call us.
