You can reach Kasauli by various means of transportation. You can avail a long drive from Chandigarh or Delhi, which follows the highway of Shimla till Dharampur. Then the Dharampur connector helps you to reach Kasauli.

The closest airport is at Chandigarh, which is 67 km away. Taxis are available to Kasauli from Chandigarh and it cost about Rs 1500. Chandigarh is connected to many airports in India, including Delhi, Srinagar, Mumbai and Kolkata.

State owned transport buses connect Kasauli to many cities in and around. Super fast and super deluxe buses have stop at Kasauli, which are plying from Chandigarh to other major cities in the state.

Regular buses from these cities to Kasauli are easily available for the travelers. Buses in deluxe and non-deluxe class are available, by State transport department as well as private bus operators. One can also get taxis very easily.

Start at New Delhi

Start outer Ring Road towards GT Karnal Road, Turn right on NH 1 – Proceed towards Ambala (199.76 Km), At Ambala, change to NH 22, proceed towards Kalka (65 Km), Continue on NH 22 – towards Dharampur (24 Km), At Dharampur, get off NH 22, take the state road to Kasauli (12 Km), End at Kasauli ,

End at Kasauli(HP).

The place is ideal tourist destination during summer, mainly because of the pleasant weather conditions it offers. Kasauli always welcomes tourists with its natural beauty. The place surrounded by some beautiful tourist attractions, which form its excursions.

You have not mentioned from where you will be travelling from. I have mentioned the deatils how to reach there from different places.

Kasauli does not have an airport of its own. Chandigarh airport lies nearest from here. It is serviced by most of the domestic airlines in India. Amongst the flights that operate between Chandigarh and New Delhi are Simplifly Deccan, Indian Airlines, etc. Most of these airlines operate daily flights between the two destinations.

The Kalka town of Haryana, situated 40 km from Kasauli, forms the nearest railhead for the hill resort. The train journey from Delhi to Kalka will take you past mesmerizing natural beauty, which is sure to make a place for itself in your heart. After getting down at the Kalka railway station, you can either take a bus or a taxi to Kasauli.

Kasauli has a good network of roads connecting it with the rest of India. Situated at a distance of around 325 km from New Delhi, the hill resort can be easily reached by hiring a bus or a taxi, from the inter-state bus terminals (ISBT). You can easily get buses, coaches & taxis for reaching here from Chandigarh, Shimla and Kalka also.
